The City of Los Angeles Animal Services Department (LAAS) was established 153 years ago and operates six award winning facilities in the LA Area. Each shelter has at least one veterinarian as well as Registered Vet Techs and their field staff also includes a world class Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team (SMART)- one of only two in the country.

She is a sweet heart that exudes charm and her favorite things to do include running, playing outdoors with other dogs and making new friends with humans in her life.  | Rayo is a ten year old male neutered mixed breed dog who weighs about 79 pounds. He is a friendly happy boy who loves being around people; he enjoys being in playgroups and is gentle with small dogs. Rayo is waiting for his forever home.  | Traveler has traveled far and wide. Found near the Van Nuys Airport, he traveled to the West Valley shelter who recognized he was a great candidate for playgroups. Traveler is bouncy, plays a rough and tumble push and pull style. He is a frequent flyer in playgroups getting along with several dogs and helps the team assess new dogs.  | Nova is a one year old male rabbit and weighs about five pounds. He likes to be held and loves to play in the yard. He is litter box trained and loves taking treats from your hand.
